COMPASSION CAMP VBS
Join us as we explore Compassion Camp VBS: What Every Living Thing Needs, and discover what all living things need to live – shelter, food, water, air, and community through the lens of Psalm 104. NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
Join us for a National Night Out Block Party on Tuesday, August 4 from 5:30-7:00 pm. We’ll provide hot dogs, BBQ, chips, and water. Please bring a dish to pass. National Night Out is an opportunity for us to welcome our neighbors, local law enforcements agencies, and first responders. Bring a chair, if your wish.
BLESSING OF THE BACKPACKS
Join us on Sunday, August 16, at 9:30 am as we celebrate the start of a new school year!
Students, teachers, school staff, and anyone carrying a backpack or briefcase are invited to come forward during the service for a special blessing.

LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF
The month of August we are collecting items for School Kits. We are in need of 70 sheet notebooks, Blunt Scissors, and Unsharpened #2 pencils with erasers. Also, we are still collecting lightweight cotton t-shirts for the Baby Kits. If you are unable to shop and would like to contribute, monetary donations are always welcome.
A collection bin for all kit supplies is located in the Commons under the LWR bulletin board.
GOD’S WORK. OUR HANDS. SUNDAY
On Sunday, September 13, our congregation will work together to package about 15,000 meals following worship! It is a fun intergenerational event that you will remember long after the boxes of packaged meals are loaded back into the trailer. Kids Against Hunger is a cooperative effort of the Beloit, Edgerton, and Janesville Rotary Clubs. Their goal is to bring local people together, educating them about local and international hunger problems.
FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL
Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17
WELCA’S Harvest Festival will be held in October this year! It’s time to start collecting all those household treasures and jewelry (no clothing, please) for our annual sale! Donations will be accepted at the church starting in September. We will also be looking for donations of crafts and baked goods the week before the sale. Thank you in advance.
RINGING TOGETHER IN WORSHIP
Have you always dreamed of playing handbells during church? Do you miss being part of a bell choir? Now’s your chance-we’re bringing the bell choir back! Whether you’re a seasoned ringer or have never picked up a bell before, all ages and experience levels are welcome. We’ll rehearse twice a month (schedule to be determined) as we learn, make music, and prepare to share our gifts in worship. Come ring with us-we’d love to have you join the choir.
